New Computer Time

I decided that I finally need a new computer and I suckered down and purchased the parts. I still need my power supply, cd drive, fans, and heatsink. Half of them are in the mail and the other half are on back order. It's annoying, so I am going to have to see what I can do about maybe choosing something different to get so I can have this computer built STAT.

So I haven't posted on here in a God's age. I looked at a few of my comments only to realize that they were spam and now I will be removing them. Hopefully this kind of thing won't continue to be a problem, because that would just suck.

If you are wondering where I have been, you shall wonder no more. In a nutshell, I still go to DeVry, my used-to-be-girlfriend turned into a cheating whore and I quit talking to her, and I use pretty much all of my free time for World of Warcraft and hanging out with Andrew.

Wow. i haven't been on here in a long while. Well tonight sucked. I had a crap session of WoW which ended in a critical error. Then to top it off, when Trillian opens it has a crash but works jsut fine so I have an annoying crash screen upon startup. I think I am just going to call it a night.

So the WoW servers for some realms have been really screwed lately. We have had so much maintenance that we didn't have much time to play. However, when a character logs out in an Inn, they receive rested XP (Double XP for a certain amount of XP). When the character is logged out and not in a town/Inn then they still receive rested XP but not as much. Blizzard said that when the servers were down, not everyone was able to get to an Inn, so they just gave everyone rested XP as though they logged in an Inn/town. When they did this, they gave us the full amount of rested XP of 1.5 levels, which is the cap. This is kick ass for everyone who isn't already the maximum level of 60 because they can level very fast.

Also, there is some cool things being implemented soon in the next patch. There will be a PVP Hoor System that is worth taking a look at...

I woke up to accidentally knock my glasses off my bed post and then when I got up to look for them I accidentally SMASHED them when I "kneed" them. I was on my knees searching for them since I am blind and my knee squashed 'em. :(

WoW has been going pretty good lately. A few members have joined the guild here and there. I got to level 40 with my Undead Priest, but I just can't solo with that character and nobody can help me. So I decided to make an Orc Hunter. That character is already level 24 and 1/3 of the way to 25. It is a really fun character to play. I can tame different beasts and make them my pets. They have certain loyalty levels and only eat certain foods based on their picky diets. Some pets can learn all of the skills and some pets can only learn a few. Some of the Elite/Named beasts have special features and I am definately looking forward to taming one of those...

Well, my girlfriend and I broke up. Maybe it was for the best. Maybe we will get back together. Maybe not. The fact of the matter is that we just grew apart. Our age difference wasn't the problem, it was our current ages. She was just too young to understand that when I work 31 hours a week, go to school, date her, and want a social life, that I can't see her every chance I get free time. I really love her a lot. I really miss her a lot. But until we have some time and space from each other, our relationship must come to an end...

How cenvenient. What are the odds that the WoW login server would be down AND the power outage would cause the cell phone towers to not work properly all in the same time frame? I don't have to work today and all I want to do is play a little bit before bed and I can't do that.

By the way, my great friend Dan and I moved my tent in my backyard with my mom so that I could put the Mustang in the backyard. The only bad part was that because the ground was wet, the gravel all sunk before I could get the car all the way back so I had to move it to its original location and leave it at that.

What a waste of a version number. They did pretty much nothing except create bloatware. AOL can screw up anything if just given time and the license. I got Winamp working again by the way. I think it is just that the school has port 8000 closed now. :(

When I play WoW I have my alt + number keys set as my second bar, so naturally I occasionally hit that neusance of a win key. This minimizes the game and really annoys the hell out of me. So, I just simply popped the keys out. :)

So this player is pretty interesting. It doesn't play video but it is still pretty cool. Winamp was never great with video anyway, I always found Windows Media Player performed better. The only thing I don't like is that I can't extend my playlist, or haven't figured it out.

Everytime I turn around AOL is screwing up my life for me. They call me and interrupt me. They buy out every damn company that has GOOD software just so they can put all their bloat an their crap in it. Now they are screwing up Winamp. I can't even get this dump DSP plugin to work anymore for some dumb unknown reason. I do the same thing that I have been doing every time I use it and it just times out. I am tired of all this dumb crap.

Video Card Problems

Well, my second video card crapped out on me. The drivers are no longer compatible with Windows XP I guess. I tried to reinstall them and Windows still didn't like them. I pretty much assumed this would happen because that is the only reason my friend gave me the video card to begin with. I just think it's a shame that it took so long to error because now I am used to dual monitors. I think I am going to scope out Fry's/Best Buy/CompUSA for a really cheap one until the holidays are over or maybe permanently. I may even just ask one of my friends. I'll figure it out later, for now I have to go to class and do Physiscs homework...

School has been a bit of hell lately. For Thanksgiving, I got to miss Physics, which means my homework was due one week later. That being the case, two homeworks are due on the same day and I of course procrastinated. I will be doing my homework this morning at work. Also, I have a reason to do my homework on the weekends at work now also: I want to play World of Warcraft during the week with my friends (in addition to hanging out in real life as well).

Life itself. It's not easy. Some people say that love can be the greatest and some people say that love can be the worst but to tell you the truth, I believe love isn't either of those. I think love is everything. It is all the feelings you can possibly feel at once, so powerful it can lift you up and carry you away. It may seem easy and nice, but sometimes one of those feelings overpowers all the others. This feeling can be the worst, especially when there is a lot on your plate. Things aren't easy for me right now. I keep passing each day trying to keep up with all my school work and both of my jobs. I don't know why everything seems so hard to me. I don't want to do anything. I just want to do the things I want. My math teacher gives me too much homework and Jessica wants to see me everyday. I can't do all of this. I don't have the strength. I don't have the energy.

So lately I have been doing a lot of school work and working at my two jobs. I am part time at school now and I am taking Physics 1 and Calculus 2. I have also been reorganizing my entire computer room. My wireless mouse was just acting funny a few hours ago. It may be because it is on a funky surface or it is interfereing with my radio which is playing music from my computer. It isn't really my radio it's an amplifier. I want to move that part anyway so that it is on top of the desk for easiest access and not taking up room for my feet...

I also have a bunch of pictures such as my cars that I need to put up onto the images blog. I plan on doing this sometime soon. When I do, I will post links on the main page so that viewers will know when the images section has been updated.

At school Seth has invited me to join GDS. He is the President of the club. GDS stands for Game Developers' Society. Forgive me if I spell incorrectly, I don't think Firefox works well with Blogger's spellcheck yet... In GDS I would be helping out wiht my Photoshop skills, so naturally I have been Photoshopping lately and working on my Aston theme.

Yes, I am using Aston again. With this theme I will try to get a free copy and if I do not succeed then I will be buying the program.

Another Busy & Productive Day

So today my mom bought a new television set and it is 36". It's a pretty sweet T.V. We have to have our shelf fixed and my buddy Bob is probably going to do that as well. I also cleaned the inside of my computer because a fan kept making funny noises, most likely due to dust. The second I finished my computer and booted it up, the noise was still there... At least it is cleaner and runs eight degrees Celsius cooler. I also have a new mouse now. It is the Logitech Laser Wireless MX 1000 . It is pretty sweet.

What A Selfish Police Department

Ok so I dropped Jessica off and the dogs and I were driving back home. We went around this time towards the open area so that I could see the lunar eclipse. That idea ended up failing so I just kept driving until I got to Arlington Heights Road. I turned right and then I saw a cop turn around and follow me. Of course he eventually pulled me over, but I was ready and I was already slowed down and as soon as he turned on his lights, We were in fron tof the gas station and near an intersection so that everyone could see us. I found my insurance card but my license was at home. Amazingly, he did not care about my license because he needed money for the village, which is why he gave me a ticket for not having my village sticker (my mom and I both forgot to buy it). He had me get out of the car because he was asking me if I was under the influence of drugs and alcohol and I kinda laughed at him. After the third time, I took off my hat and gave him the straightest answer that I could, which was the same answer I had been giving him. No, I am not under the influence of anything. After badgering me for awhile, another squad car pulled up. That officer pretty much smirked at our whole conversation because he knew I was a reasonable guy with a burned out front turn signal (the main reason for being pulled over). The officer ended up being the same one that pulled me over when I was 16 and writing me a bogus ticket (he got away with it too by the way). That was pretty much it, and it sucks.

Something is going on with my eyes. I normally wear my contacts and then my glasses before bed. Lately, when I am wearing my contacts, my vision isn't perfect. Some thigns are just a little blurry. My eye(s) either improved or got worse.

So last night I was drivin' the Stang for a little while and I was doing a three point turn on a street. I accidentally let the car coast too far because I had the clutch down and I hit the curb. This is not usually a problem but this curb was in a weird position and I hit my intake. I backed up and then drove for about 50 feet and then heard something scratching. It was my intake. I got out and it had got ripped off the front bumper. I am steamin' by now. I luckily for some reason had a screwdriver in my car and it just so happened to be a flathead too. I ended up taking off the scoop and hiding the tube in one of the panels as a temporary fix. I will be putting the intake back on after I finish all my finals; right now I do not need more to think about.

Poison Ivy?

So about 2-3 weeks ago I woke up one morning with these four bites on my wrist. I am pretty sure that I had gotten 4 spider bites in my sleep and it formed into a rash. I tried putting on Benadryl for poison ivy but that ended up just making the rash worse because there wasn't any air getting to it. I used the Benadryl previously on poison ivy and it worked great but for this rash Benadryl was not going to cut it. I have been putting on rubbing alcohol and hydrocortisone cream on it and now it is healing up. I think I will have a scar there though... :(

When I go to a restaurant and order salmon, I always ask them (if the salmon is really good!) if they have their own bears to actually catch the salmon in their own private stream or river. This video definately reminds me of those instances. By the way, the waiter or waitress usually laughs when I ask them that question.

I got my CB Radio! Dan and I installed it yesterday and it works great! It is a 1978 and has never been used! I got it for $25 at a flea market at Rosemont Horizon. I also bought the antenna from Radio Shack and its as tall as my car is. :)

Fence Fixin'

Today my buddy Bob called me and woke me up. He had told my mom that he would come over at 8 A.M. to fix the fence and it was about 10 A.M. when he called. He said that he set his alarm but slept through it, which I believe because I did the same exact thing. He came over about 20 minutes later and now the fence is fixed. :)

Pig Pen Update

So apparently I have found out today that there is a reason for so many cops to be at that intersection. The intersection is Lake Street and Swift Road. There are many people that think there are no cops there. Swift road is the very first road on the list for Illinois' Most Speeding Tickets Issued Roads. I found this out today from my Professor and I had not mentioned anything, he told the class willingly.
